The C1000 6S is a custom-engineered feeder and auto-loader system designed to handle high-volume batches of pre-printed variable data sheets with speed and precision. While the core feeder (XM12) and BD Dropper were sourced from Superior Handling PHS, I designed and built the modular frame, custom auto-loader, barcode integration, and performed key mechanical modifications to adapt the system for our specific needs.
We retrofitted the feeder with a barcode reader (Microscan), modified the shaft and mounting points for camera alignment, and reconfigured the frame to allow for adjustable height and seamless synchronization with downstream equipment. The entire system was enclosed and rebranded under the OFM C1000 6S model, delivering a polished, professional solution ready for export.
This machine worked in tandem with a Bell & Howell Jumbo Inserter, verifying and batching sheets with precise accumulation logic. If a barcode mismatch or read error occurred, the system could halt the inserter, ensuring only correctly sequenced batches reached the final mail insertion process.

The inserter, which was modified to accept sheets slightly larger than its original design specifications, receives pre-batched stacks of 40 sheets from the feeder. Though barcode verification is not active in this demo, the system demonstrates synchronized feeding and transfer, controlled via the inserter’s onboard interface for testing purposes.
